The origin of filigree dates back to the third millennium BC in Mesopotamia. The oldest pieces date from 2500 BC and were discovered in the graves of Ur in present-day Iraq. Other pieces, discovered in Syria, are from approximately 2100 BC. It reached Europe via trade routes in the Mediterranean Sea, where it became relatively popular in the Greek and Roman civilizations. Today, filigree pieces can be found with great visibility in the Northern Region of Portugal, often used in the traditional wedding dress set and also in the female costume of the folklore ranches of Minho. On February 9, 1851, the second train line in Spain (which connected Madrid to Aranjuez) was inaugurated and with it the first train station in our city, Atocha, appeared at the time, a simple wooden pier. The station was subsequently expanded in 1865 and 1892. Its most characteristic element belongs to this last year: the roof of the main nave, which, designed by the engineer Saint-James, measures 152 meters wide, 48 span and 27 height , and is one of the most distinctive features of the city. Santiago has a dense public transport network. The Santiago subway is a safe and fast way to cross the Chilean capital and serves most of Santiago's points of interest. To use the network, travelers must purchase a “BIP” card, available at subway stations. Load the BIP. After validating the card, you can travel for 2 hours, up to a limit of two bus/metro changes. If you travel only by metro, you can change as many times as you want. On the other hand, if you leave the metro, you will be charged the entrance fee again if you return to the metro. Lines 2, 4 and 5 have three types of stations: red, green and wrong. Some trains stop at the red stations, others at the green ones. Before entering the subway, just look at the colored indicator, a green or red neon above each subway door, to know if you are about to enter the right door. The Market Square is a central square in Helsinki, Finland, bordering the Baltic Sea. From spring to autumn, the Market Square is active with vendors selling fresh Finnish food and souvenirs. There are also many outdoor cafés at the square. Some cafés also provide meat pastries (Finnish: lihapiirakka). The height of the square's popularity[citation needed] is in early October, when the annual Helsinki herring market (silakkamarkkinat) begins.
