The Monastery of Nossa Senhora da Visitação, better known for the Convento das Descalças Reais - Royal Barefoot Convent -, is located about 4 minutes walk from Portas do Sol. It is a monastery of cloistered nuns, founded in 1559 by Joan of Austria, widow of Prince João Manuel of Portugal, sister of the king of Spain Felipe II and mother of the future Portuguese king Don Sebastião. It is a sober classicist building from the 16th century, where you can watch religious celebrations. You can also visit the museum, which has an important collection of works of art. You can attend two masses a day. Museum hours: From Tuesday to Saturday. Morning: 10:00 - 14:00 Afternoon: 16: 00 - 18:30 Sundays and holidays. 10:00 - 15:00 Ticket offices and access to the Monastery close an hour before Weekly closing: Monday

Prague International Design Festival, is the biggest selective festival of design and fashion in Central Europe. The history of Designblok goes back to 1999 when it was founded by Jana Zielinski and Jiří Macek, directors of the Profil Media agency organising the festival. As usual, Designblok shows works by designers and producers from all of Europe and presents novelties by established prestigious brands but also prototypes by young designers and designer’s studios. Every year, the Prague design week is attended by exhibitors in the main space of Designblok, i.e. Superstudio, Openstudio, Exterior and Art House. Alongside these spaces a number of galleries, showrooms and pop-up stores in Prague open their doors and offer visitors special programme created for this occasion.

The great Synagogue in Budapest is a religious building, built in the 19th century. XIX, in the second half of the 50s. It is the largest in Europe in its style and its monumentality allows it to welcome around 3 thousand people inside. Designed by architects Lajos Förster and Frigyes Feszl, it is presented in a romantic style, combining Neo-Moorish and Neo-Byzantine elements. The synagogue is composed of nine vaulted naves decorated with colored bricks, tiles and arabesques, two shiny towers, with black and gold domes, which make it a unique building in its style. All towers incorporate four nineteenth-century clocks. The interior reigns in a style that anticipates art deco mixed with a neo-baroque style. It dazzles. Religious services begin at 07:30am. NEMO is a museum opened in 1997, with a project by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. It is located in the center of Amsterdam, close to the central public transport station. The architecture reveals the hull of a ship, while still being close to the sea museum. It was built on the foundations of the IJ tunnel and is located on the Oosterdok. The museum has exhibitions that explore the use of technology such as the exploitation of nature's resources to generate renewable energy, or a chemistry laboratory open to the public, all with the aim of bringing science to visitors through interactive exhibits.
