The Bass Strait, which connects Tasmania and Australia, can be admired via the George Bass Coastal Walk, which is about an hour's drive from central Melbourne. The hike offers spectacular coastal views and follows the route of explorer George Bass's epic voyage of discovery along the southern shore of the Anderson Peninsula, more than 200 years ago. Reasonable physical preparation is recommended, but expert level is not required.

The annual CTM Festival is a music and visual arts event held in Berlin, Germany.
